Salary Range:
Salary: $21.47/hr
Shift Available: Part-time
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Staff will maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful Trauma-Informed Care language
- Provides routine vocational nursing services providing for the optimum health of individuals
- Provides training in health-related skills, completes assessments, and provides assistance in the activities of daily living
- Documents services provided in the individual’s record
- Works under the moderate supervisor of the Director of IDD Nursing or their designee, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement
- Adheres to TPC Business Code of Conduct and reports concerns if ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised
Required qualifications to be successful in the job:
- Licensed to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas
- License must be current and in good standing
- Must be able to demonstrate compliance with the TXBNE’s rules and regulations to maintain required license
- Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred qualifications to be successful in the job:
- Ability to self-initiate work responsibilities
- Ability to recognize and give a necessary response to situations determined by staffing patters, work schedule, behavior of a client or symptoms of illness
- Ability to work in a variety of environments and with flexible time schedules
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Some experience working with special needs individuals and/or individuals with developmental disabilities
