Administrative Technician II [0154] E

Amarillo, Texas – Alternate Living

Salary Range:

Salary: $19.62/hr

Shift Available: Full-time

Shift Available: Mon – Fri from 8 am – 5 pm. Weekday evening on-call as well as weekend on-call rotation, and any relief.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Staff will maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful Trauma-Informed Care language
  • Responsible for the overall managing and success of Alternate Living group home program
  • Position includes acting as supervisor of the group homes along with program on-call duties
  • Supervision and training of approximately 56 staff members in the implementation of scheduling and home coverage for clients with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities that live in TPC homes, performance evaluation and hiring, developing Implementation Plans for clients and monitoring of staff to ensure plans are followed
  • The Administrative Tech II works under the direct supervision of the Director of Alternate Living

Required qualifications to be successful in the job:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years work experience in IDD adult habilitation planning and training
  • Each year (30 semester hours) of accredited college work in a related field may substitute for the required work experience on a year for year basis
  • Knowledge of office practices and administrative support work
  • Skill in the use of electronic data and/or word processing equipment and software
  • Must have a minimum of eighth grade reading, comprehension level as evidenced by score on the Adult Basic Learning Examination (ABLE) test or one semester (12 semester hours) of accredited college work
  • Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred qualifications to be successful in the job:

  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Ability to speak Spanish a plus
  • Four (4) years of experience in teaching multi-disabled adults in groups and individual settings through Person Directed Plan methodology
  • Four (4) years working experience in performing, training, and monitoring behavior therapy techniques and response documentation
