Volunteering through Texas Panhandle Centers offers a great opportunity for those with generous hearts to positively impact lives of people served. One avenue is through the Volunteer Services Council of Texas Panhandle Centers. The primary tasks of this group are to fund raise and distribute funds to consumers or family members who need help. Volunteer Services Council for Texas Panhandle Centers Behavioral and Developmental Health
The Volunteer Services Council for TPC is a private non-profit organization that renders assistance to individuals with mental illness or intellectual and developmental disabilities. This Council, one of twenty-seven located within the State of Texas, is dedicated specifically to serving the Texas Panhandle. The Council raises funds for items that the state cannot provide, such as pharmaceutical needs, food, clothing, entertainment, housing, family visitations, and Special Olympics.
Although TPC is a state funded agency, none of the funds used by the Volunteer Services Council are obtained through the State, as the Council is a separate entity from the Center. We rely solely on the generosity of businesses and the community at large.
